HI, I'm KARIN.

I believe everyone deserves to leave an incredible legacy and live a life with as few regrets as possible

In 2013, I made the difficult decision to leave my corporate job after 20+ years in the
consumer goods industry. I spent those years learning relevant skills, advancing, and
working to build a reputation. The jobs I had came with many incredible benefits :
I got to travel and see the world, developed myself, coached teams, met amazing people
(whom I am still friends with today), and helped develop incredible brands. I had
the privilege of being mentored by a few exceptional leaders who always had
my best interests at heart. The success I have had is also, in large part, because of their support.
Today I am proud and thankful for the journey.
But, in the end, I realized I had allowed my corporate job to define me - and I wasn’t entirely sure
what the true definition of “me” was anymore.
For me, it finally caught me as I was driving home from work every night during my last year as
a corporate executive, because my reality and my dreams were so far out of alignment.
I felt like no matter what I tried to do, it was never good enough.
You might have felt this way too, trying to be everything to everyone and trying to be the glue holding
it all together because

We have children to raise.
We have bosses to answer to.
We have marriages to tend to.
After much reflection, I made a bold move.
I quit my job with zero plan. Yes, I know. Exactly what experts tell you not to do.
How terrified was I to walk away from a solid, stable job? Honestly, pretty terrified.
I didn’t know what life would look like if I wasn’t an Executive Director. That’s what I was for
so many years, it became part of who I am.
What would happen if I was just me? Just Karin.
I didn’t know the answer, but for the first time in my life, I was excited to find out.
After I quit, I decided to do business consulting and this allowed me to meet new, interesting people
and utilise the skills I had developed to help numerous businesses. I thoroughly enjoyed
the consulting work and felt true excitement with each new project I undertook. It felt so
rejuvenating not being at the base of the mountain, but climbing up with
my rucksack and hiking boots on. I wasn’t owned by any person, possession or pressure,
I was present and I enjoyed it. Being a consultant also gave me the mental space I needed
to be still and listen. To what ? To myself ! I embraced the exciting questions that arose … What would make me happy? How could I live a life of no regret?
What could I contribute to the world? What was my Why ?

I was able to talk about my story to others. I was soon surprised to learn too many people
were just like me - feeling trapped in a career they didn’t love, but too scared to act.

I talked to many people whose lives looked incredible to the outside world.
That Facebook vacation, those Instagram photos.
But inside? Inside, it was a different story.
Those same people woke up each morning filled with anxiety about the day ahead,
pretending everything is fine so they can make it through another day. The tiny spark
of a dream is always in the back of their minds but they feel stuck, tired, and overwhelmed.
Their success doesn’t fill the void inside. They have BIG dreams for their lives, but rarely
tell anyone for fear they’ll be made fun of (or worse, told their dreams are impossible).
They are dads, daughters, executives, husbands, teachers, wives, brothers, caregivers.
They are you and me.
I created Kaleidoscope Retreats to help you shape that awesome day far in the future when you look back over your life and say, with certainty, " I lived a great life and I did it on my terms"

If you’re interested, I will teach you from my own journey. I don’t do “quick fixes” (they don’t work) and your journey of self-discovery might contain a dash of struggle (I won’t lie, because it’s true!).
But it’s not scary and I believe in you! And I promise you with my help it won’t take you nearly as long as it did me to find out what makes you happy. Plus, you’ll have me in your corner, cheering you on!
I can help you learn how to check in with yourself. Ask the right questions.
Figure out what you want and how to get it. This is how to live a life you truly love, a life lived on your own terms.
Be clear about what’s important to you. No more confusion!
Know the parts of your life that are within your control. (And the stuff you don’t have to worry about anymore!)
How would your day go if you owned your actions? And those actions were aligned with your dreams or purpose ?
These are the questions I help you examine so you can break free of that high pressure, unattainable life.
I know the questions to ask and the steps to take because I went through the very same thing in my life!
SO if you're stuck in No Man’s Land, without a map, without a plan, without a soul for miles, let me join you - but we won’t stay there, we’ll be headed somewhere especially for you.
